Manel Torres Show in Tsum
As part of the Moscow Design week 2011, I have been at the Manel Torres show at Tsum. The designer uses literally spray on clothes! Not sure if I'd wear it yet... but who knows where future will take us!
!!!"The spray can be applied using a high pressure spray gun or an aerosol can. The texture of the fabric can be changed according to which fibres are used - wool, linen or acrylic, for example - and how the spray is layered."!!!
Nonetheless, Torres created some very innovative spray on couture wear. Here are some photos and a video I took at the show.

Pepsi or Coke- one of my past projects
'Pepsi or Coke' series
This series is a product of the photographer’s exposure to the varied cultural milieu of London, possibly the most multicultural city in the world, one of the most evident encounter points of the East and the West. Women in hijabs, and women in excessively revealing clothing are both a common sight in London, as well as in other locations around the world. Both of these images can be seen as an expression of diverse worldviews and are both critically scrutinized in the globalizing arena. This series does not attempt to promote a particular cultural perspective. It invites the viewer to speculate on the beauty of the debate particular to our era. This beauty lies in the wild array of information we encounter, the opportunities this information gives and the choices it allows us to make. This work celebrates choice on different levels whether it is a choice between conservative and radical, modest and flamboyant, high heels or flat shoes or simply between Pepsi and Coke.
